| National architecture and life museum «Pirogovo» |
Pirogovo is the museum under the open air. The exposition displays the architecture of Ukrainian villages (peasant houses, windmills, wooden churches), items of peasant life (furniture, crockery, clothes, musical instruments). It is a nice place for spending free time. | National Museum of Literature |
Museum of Literature had opened its doors in 1986. It is situated in historical center in the building of the end of XIX century. From 1871 here was situated one of the best educational institutions of Kiev - Pavel Galagan College. This place is also known by the fact that in 1885 and 86 in the library of the building worked famous Ukrainian poet and writer - Ivan Franko. In 1886 in the chapel of the building he got married with Olga Horujinska . Museum exposition depicts literature process in Ukraine from the times of Kievan Rus till our days. Among the museum relics - antique book editions of XVII-XVIII centuries, lifetime editions of Taras Shevchenko and Ivan Franko books, handwritten copies of Lesya Ukrainka, private stuff of Panas Mirniy, Nechuy-Levitskiy and other outstanding Ukrainian writers.

Museum was founded in 1919 and contains collection of foreign art works. Basis of museum collection formed the private collection of married couple Khanenko, who started to collect paintings as early as in 70th years of 19 century. Drugstore-museum in Kiev was opened in 1986. The museum displays were collected all over the country. Exposition is dedicated to history of Ukrainian pharmaceutics and drugstore business. National museum of medicine was founded in 1973. Its exposition is disposed in the building of former Anatomical Theatre of Medical Faculty of Kiev University. | State Aviation Museum |
Aviation Museum in Kiev was founded in 2003. Exposition is located on the old landing strip. Models of civil, transport, military and even naval aviation are placed on the area of 15 hectares. In addition to planes and helicopters here are also means of flying object extermination. Among the displays there is unique plane Tu-104 - first jet plane in the world which flied up in 1955 and a copy of first Ukrainian serial plane "Anatra-Anasal" which were produced in Odessa in 1917-1918.

Museum of Ukrainian decorative art is situated on the territory of Kiev-Pechersk Lavra in the building of former metropolitan house and Blagoveshenskaya church which were built in XVII century. The collection of the museum was started in 1899 as the City museum of antiques and art. Nowadays museum exposition includes works of folk and professional decorative art from XV century till our days. Among the displays are crockery, "rushnyk"(embroidered ritual towel), church plates, national clothes, Ukrainian Cossacks tobacco pipes, "pysanki" (painted Easter eggs) and many other things. One hall of the museum is devoted totally to the paintings of famous Ukrainian artist Kateryna Bilokur, this gallery is a true pearl of museum's collection.
